Where do I work?............  I work in Kew

 

How long have I worked in Mental Health?............ 3 Years

 

Mental Health Experience............  I have worked in the private hospital system, post-injury rehabilitation, secondary schools, private practice and with families of active military personnel. I also have over 5 years experience working in the education system as a teacher's aide.

 

Who do I treat?............ Adults and adolescents, aged fifteen and older.

 

Areas of expertise............ Depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment to change and chronic health conditions including cancer and fibromyalgia. I also have an interest in men's mental health and neurodiverse profiles, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

My therapy style............ I focus on collaboration and warmth, with the aim for clients to feel understood and validated. I strive to be client-centred, evidence-based and 'down to earth' in my approach to treatment planning.  I incorporate practices from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and interpersonal therapy.
